We look forward to seeing you under the California sun for a healthy summer!
Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand. The Food Service Department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well-being, and ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.
Meals, foods, and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet their health and nutrition needs of students.
FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS DURING THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
July 1, 2025
California became the first state to implement a statewide Universal Meals Program for all school children to help end hunger, eliminate stigma, and support academic success. Under the California Universal Meals Program, school districts are required to apply to participate in a federal meal provision such as Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).
For the School Year 2025-2026, Lake Elsinore Unified School District is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program.
Under this provision, LEUSD will provide all students with one compliant breakfast and one compliant lunch for free! All students enrolled will receive meals through the School Breakfast Program (SBP) and National School Lunch Program (NSLP) at no charge.
MEAL APPLICATIONS: HOUSEHOLD ALTERNATIVE INCOME (REQUIRED)
As a result of this provision, meal applications will not be accepted and will be on hold. However, please be sure to complete the District’s Alternative Household Income Form, as it is critical to ensure your student’s school receives the maximum funding. All information remains confidential.
Infinite Campus is our Student Information System, where you can update your current student/s’ annual registration information or register a new student for the 2025-2026 school year. We encourage you to enter your Household Income information so that Lake Elsinore Unified School District receives state FUNDING for important educational programs to which our students are entitled.
MEAL SERVICE
Every student has a cafeteria account to receive meals at no cost. Students use Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) or Student ID Numbers to access their accounts.
New! CASHLESS LUNCH LINES!
Food Services is going cashless. Students will receive only one breakfast and one lunch at no cost. Any second meals or a la carte items will be charged to the student(s) School Pay account. Transactions must be cashless to ensure food safety and sanitation. If your child purchases second meals, a la carte items, or bottled water, please use our online payment system to deposit money into your student(s) account.
PAPERLESS MENUS!
Foodservices Department is going GREEN! Menus are now paperless! Please visit My School Menus.
We apologize for any menu changes due to these very impactful supply chain issues. We are working hard with our suppliers to minimize impacts, but the shortages are often out of their control. The printed menus do not list accurate information about ongoing food substitutions. We encourage you to visit the online menu for the most up-to-date information.
