On Friday, October 1, 2021, Governor Newsom announced a potential statewide COVID-19 vaccine mandate for K-12 students. Unfortunately, this announcement made during the Governor's press conference was not supported by the written order, which has created a sense of unease and lack of clarity. To clarify, Lake Elsinore Unified School District is not currently required to mandate COVID 19 vaccinations for purposes of student enrollment.
The current CDPH and RivCoPH guidelines are now available for the 2021-22 school year.
With the County's official move into the Red tier, the District is now eligible to reopen Secondary schools.
