The transfer request window will open January 1st, 2024 and intra-district transfer requests will be accepted until 4:00pm on January 31st, 2024, no late submittals will be accepted. We are no longer accepting intradistrict transfer applications for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten (K).
About Intra-district Transfer Application Requests

An intra-district transfer application is required for any student seeking to attend an LEUSD school other than his or her school of attendance, but is not required if a student is already on an approved transfer and plans to remain at their school for the 2024-2025 school year. Conditions apply:
- Intra-district transfers will be permitted only as space permits;
- In the event requests exceed spaces available, a random drawing will be held from the applications for award of intra-district transfer to the desired site(s);
- Students who reside in the school boundaries will not be displaced due to intra-district transfer requests; therefore, students on intra-district transfers could be displaced in the event of excessive enrollment.

Deadline to Apply
In order to be considered, transfer requests must be submitted online by using the above link no later than 4:00 p.m. on January 31, 2024. All transfer requests submitted after the deadline will not be considered for the 2024-2025 school year.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who Must Submit an Intradistrict Transfer Application?
- Students who are going to the next school level (e.g., elementary to middle school or middle to high school) AND want a school that is not their home school. A transfer must be submitted even if a sibling already attends school being requested.
- Students who have moved during the school year but wish to remain at the same school.
- Students who are requesting a transfer for the first time, including transitional kindergartners and kindergartners.
Who Does Not Need to Submit an Intradistrict Transfer Application?
- Any student who is currently on an approved intradistrict transfer and attending their school of choice does not need to reapply for the upcoming school year if the student will continue attending the school of choice.
