🧮 Family Need & Family Fee Calculator
Families interested in the Full-Day California State Preschool Program must demonstrate a qualifying family need to receive services. After all families with an identified need have been enrolled, remaining spaces may be offered to income-eligible families without a documented need.
A low-cost monthly family fee may be required, based on income and in accordance with California State Preschool Program guidelines.

💬 What is a Family Need?
Each parent in the family must meet one of the following need criteria:

The child is receiving child protective services

The child is identified as being abused, neglected or exploited—or at risk thereof

The family is experiencing homelessness

The parent is employed
-
The parent is seeking employment

The parent is enrolled in vocational training
-
The parent is enrolled in educational programs

The parent is incapacitated
-
The parent is seeking permanent housing for family stability
