Thursday, October 20 is the Great California Shake Out, an earthquake simulation and drill. All LEUSD schools will participate in this statewide emergency preparedness exercise at approximately 10:20 a.m. This drill is designed to test communications systems, evacuation plans, and related emergency preparedness procedures during a potential natural disaster.
This is also a great opportunity for families to talk about their emergency family plans, and to practice "Drop, Cover and Hold On," so all family members will be prepared when disaster strikes. Visit the official California Shakeout Web site below.
