TK & Kindergarten
Kindergarten/TK Registration (New Family)
I do not currently have any students enrolled in LEUSD in grades TK-11.
Kindergarten/ TK Registration (Returning Family)
I already have a student enrolled in LEUSD. Use the Parent Portal to register a Kindergarten or Transitional Kindergarten student.

Age
Age Requirements
Under California Education Code 48000, if your child has his or her fifth birthday on or before September 1, 2026, he or she may enroll in Kindergarten. If your child’s fourth birthday is on or before September 1, 2026, he or she will be enrolled in Transitional Kindergarten. Transitional Kindergarten is the first of a two-year kindergarten program that uses its own curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate.

Health
Health Requirements for TK & Kindergarten
Students enrolling in Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten must meet additional health requirements, including:
LEUSD requires evidence of completed required immunizations. Students with incomplete immunizations will not be enrolled (reference: SB 277).
Transitional Kindergarten
- 4 POLIO (3 if last dose given after 4th birthday)
- 5 DTP (4 if last dose given after 4th birthday)
- 2 MMR (first dose must be given on or after 1st birthday)
- 3 HEPATITIS B
- 2 VARICELLA shots
Kindergarten
- 4 POLIO ( (3 if last dose given after 4th birthday)
- 5 DTP (4 if last dose given after 4th birthday)
- 2 MMR (first dose must be given on or after 1st birthday)
- 3 HEPATITIS B
- 2 VARICELLA (chickenpox) shots
Oral Health Assessment
- Must be dated after August 11, 2025.
- To make sure your child is ready for school, California Law, Ed Code Section 49452.8 now requires that your child have an oral health assessment (dental check-up) by May 31 in either kindergarten or first grade, whichever is his or her first year in public school. Assessments that have been completed within the 12 months before your child enters school also meet this requirement.
- The law specifies that the assessment must be done by a licensed dentist or other licensed or registered dental health professional.
- District’s Oral Health Assessment forms must be used. This form is available for download at the right of this page
Documents
To complete your child’s enrollment in Lake Elsinore Unified School District, a few documents are required. These documents help us confirm your child's eligibility and ensure they are ready for school.
You can upload documents during online registration or bring them directly to your child’s school. If you have questions, your school office is always happy to help
Documents Needed for All Students (TK–12)
Most families will need the following:
✅ Proof of Age
One of the following documents may be used:
- Birth certificate
- Passport
- Adoption/Foster Care Record
- Official Hospital Birth Record
- Baptismal Certificate
✅ Proof of Residency
Please provide a document dated within the last 60 days, such as:
- Utility bill (water, gas, electric, or trash)
- Rental agreement or lease
Living with another family?
If you (parent/guardian) and child live in the home of another person, a residency affidavit and additional documentation are required. The resident must be present during registration.
✅ Proof of Immunization
California law requires students to be fully immunized before enrolling in school. Students with incomplete immunizations cannot be enrolled.
✅ Special Education Services
If your child receives special education services, please provide a copy of their most recent Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Returing Families Log In
Already have a student enrolled in LEUSD in grades TK-11? Log into the Parent Portal to register a new student or complete the annual update. Log In to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal
Continuing Students & Returning Families
This process is for families who already have a student enrolled in LEUSD and would like to register a new student, such as a sibling. If you are new to LEUSD and do not have any students currently enrolled, please use the New Students and Families registration option instead.
*Please make sure all your students (existing and new) are listed on the same application when submitting before submitting.
How to Register a New Student
If you currently have a student enrolled in LEUSD (TK–11), you will register a new student through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal, where you will also update your existing student’s information. You must have an active Parent Portal account. If you need help accessing or activating your account, please contact your child’s school.
Step 1: Prepare Required Documents
Be prepared to provide the following documents during registration:
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Residency
- Immunization Records
- Transcripts (if applicable)
Documents can be uploaded during the online process or submitted to your school.
Step 2: Complete the Annual Online Registration Update
Use the Parent Portal to update information for your currently enrolled students and add a new student, such as a sibling, to your family.
Example: If you have a child currently enrolled in 3rd grade and need to register a new Kindergarten student, you will use the Parent Portal to add your new student.
