Student of the Month Program
The LEUSD Student of the Month Program recognizes outstanding high school seniors who demonstrate character, leadership, perseverance, and a commitment to learning and service.
Established in 1996, the program celebrates students who make a positive impact at their school and in the community.
About the Program
Students are nominated by their teachers and selected based on demonstrated character, leadership, community involvement, perseverance, and love of learning. Students are recognized monthly for their achievements.
Each month, seven students are honored. Two students are selected from each participating school, with Elsinore High School and Keith McCarthy Academy alternating.
Participating Schools
Students are selected from the following LEUSD high schools:
- Elsinore High School
- Lakeside High School
- Temescal Canyon High School
- Ortega High School
- Keith McCarthy Academy
Student of the Year
In May, one student from each month’s honorees is selected for the LEUSD Student of the Year recognition. These seven students represent the top honorees from the academic year.
Program Partners
The Student of the Month Program is supported by the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce and BMW Management, which owns and manages Sizzler restaurants. Their continued partnership helps make this recognition program possible.
