How to Get Support

If you have concerns about your child’s physical development, learning skills, behavior, emotions, speech, or language, please contact your local school district’s Special Education Department.

Special Education staff can guide you through the evaluation process, explain your rights as a parent or guardian, and help determine appropriate services based on your child’s needs.

Services and eligibility vary based on your child’s age. For school-aged students, general education supports are typically provided first before special education services are considered.

If your child attends a private school within one of the listed districts, you may contact both the private school and your local district to learn more about available services.
