Health Services

The Lake Elsinore Unified School District Health Offices are supported by credentialed Registered Nurses (RN) and Health Technicians who work collaboratively to promote student health, safety, and access to learning.

District nurses are licensed Registered Nurses who hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, along with a School Nurse Credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. They provide oversight of health services throughout the district, develop and monitor individualized student health plans, provide training and consultation to school staff regarding specialized health needs, support students with chronic and acute medical conditions, and collaborate with families, school personnel, healthcare providers, and district departments to help ensure student health, safety, and access to learning during the school day.

Health Technicians provide daily health office support at school sites and maintain current CPR and First Aid certification. Under the direction and support of District Nurses, Health Technicians assist with routine health office visits, medication administration, first aid, illness and injury care, parent/guardian communication, health record maintenance, and support for students with documented health needs.

Together, our Health Services team supports the health and well-being of all students, helping ensure they are healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
