Life Events & Benefit Changes

If you experience a qualifying life event, you may be eligible to make changes to your health benefits outside of the annual Open Enrollment period.

Qualifying Life Events

• Marriage or divorce
• Birth or adoption of a child
• Gaining other insurance coverage (proof required)
• Losing other insurance coverage (proof required)

What to Do Next

Changes must be submitted within 30 days of the event. Required forms and documentation must be provided to the Safety/Risk-Benefit Department.
