Holy Burn Scar Area Fall 2019-20 Update

LEUSD is monitoring storm conditions that could affect schools in the Holy burn scar area. Updates will be posted below. Alerts and evacuation related information will also be posted to the ParentSquare message system. Status: 'Flood Watch' currently in effect in the Holy burn scar area during November 19-20 thunderstorm activity.
 
Duration: Tuesday night, November 19 through Wednesday night, November 20, 2019.
 
Weather Forecast: Storm systems are expected to move through the Holy burn area Tuesday, November 19, through Thursday, November 21.
 
ALERTS and NOTICES:
  • LEUSD HAS NO PLANS FOR SCHOOL CLOSURES WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY, NOV. 20 & 21, 2019. IF CONDITIONS CHANGE, WE WILL NOTIFY.
  • CURRENTLY, NO ACTIVE FLOOD RELATED WARNINGS OR EVACUATION ORDERS ARE AFFECTING ANY LEUSD SCHOOLS WITHIN THE BURN SCAR AREA (as of 11/19/19 2:37 p.m.).
  • ACCORDING TO THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE, THIS YEAR, PUBLIC SAFETY, CITY and COUNTY OFFICIALS HAVE INCREASED THE RAIN THRESHOLDS FOR OUR COMMUNITY, WHICH MEANS WHILE THE RISKS OF DEBRIS FLOWS CONTINUE, THE RISKS HAVE BEEN REDUCED.
