Library Resources

School libraries play an important role in supporting student learning, literacy, and a love of reading. Students have access to a wide range of books and resources that support classroom learning and encourage independent reading. LEUSD schools use Follett Destiny, a library management system that allows students to explore available books, place holds, and manage their library accounts.

Families can stay informed about their child’s library activity and have the opportunity to review and guide their student’s book selections. This helps support family involvement and ensures that reading choices align with family preferences.

Information and instructions for setting up family access to library accounts will be shared for the 2026–2027 school year.

For more information about accessing library resources or managing your student’s account, please contact your school site.

Stay Connected to Your Student's Library Account

LEUSD families will have access to Destiny Discover, our online library catalog and resource portal. Families may also choose to receive email notifications regarding their student's library activity, including:

  • Book check-outs
  • Book returns/check-ins
  • Library fees or fines
  • Other library account activity

Notifications will be sent only to the parent/guardian and student email addresses associated with the student's Infinite Campus enrollment. Emails are generated in the evenings when library activity occurs and include the item title and a link to view the resource in Destiny Discover.
