To support the educational process by providing safe and efficient transportation to the students of our district; to work collaboratively with staff throughout the district to ensure student transportation prepares the student for learning and is a productive extension of the classroom; and to encourage and sustain trust with our parents as well as the members of our community.
LEUSD Transportation Safety Plan
The following Lake Elsinore Unified School District Transportation Safety Plan has been developed at the direction of the Superintendent pursuant to California Education Code 39831.3 and in accordance with provisions of SB 1072 the Paul Lee School Bus Safety Law. This document is maintained by the Transportation Department.

SCHOOL BUS DRIVER TRAINING COURSE
If you have a good driving record, like part-time work, and enjoy working with children, this could be the career for you!
CRITERIA FOR AN APPLICANT:
- Learn rules, laws and regulations governing the school bus
transportation industry, and the ability to pass DMV and CHP
tests, interviews, background check and a DMV medical exam - Skills and confidence that enables you to learn how to drive a 40’
school bus with “precious cargo” - Must possess a “TEAM” mindset geared towards a customer
service mentality. - Attendance to ALL classes is mandatory.
