Facilities & Operations is overseeing multiple summer projects which include:
- Water-conserving artificial turf to replace the grass median in front of the District Office on Chaney Street
- Solar power and shade canopies at Machado Elementary School in the school's outdoor lunch area and main parking lot, which is also being redesigned for improved vehicle parking, bus return, and traffic safety.
- Replacement of Elsinore High School main quad and entryway, incorporating drainage improvements, flood control elements, and an aesthetic upgrade using the school colors and pathway accents, and drought-tolerant landscaping.
These projects will be completed once the 2016-17 begins.
